Carlson R. Boyce, 52 of Leroy, Jackson County, died Monday, April 29 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV.

Born July 17, 1949 in East Chicago, Indiana, he was retired from the Hownet Corporation of Hampton, Virginia with 25 years service and had worked for 4 years with the Job Corps. He had built and restored many antique cars and was a member of the Pentacostal Church.

Surviving Mr. Boyce are his wife, Daisy M. Boyce and three daughters, Clara J. Avilez of Kenna, WV, Debbie Ambrose of Center Cross, VA and Doris B. Caldwell of Poquoson, VA; seven brothers, Carson R. Boyce of Belpre, Ohio, James E. Boyce of Clendenin, WV, William M. Boyce of Anstead, WV, Kenneth Boyce of Lexington, KY, Denver Boyce of Parkersburg, WV Charles E. Herold and Bucky Boyce both of Charleston, WV; two sisters, Mary Kay Westfall and Oley E. Westfall both of Clendenin, 7 grandchildren, 9 nephews and 10 nieces.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Reverend Charles Blankenship will officiate. Interment will be in the Carpenter Cemetery at Orma, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
