James R. Underwood 77 - Brohard

James R. Underwood 77, of Brohard, West Virginia, passed away at Worthington Manor, after an extended illness. He was born July 7, 1933 the son of the late Russell and Mildred Munday Underwood. He was a 1952 graduate of Wirt County High School, and retired from Eureka Pipeline Company. He was a ham radio operator for years, his call sign was KF8RO. He is survived by his wife, Orpha Davis Underwood; son, Don (Beth) Underwood of Elizabeth WV; daughter, Tina (Tom) Poe of Brohard; 6 grandchildren, Russell Underwood of Cherry Point NC, Daniel (Kandice) Underwood of Balsam Lake WI, Brandon of Cherry Point, Tyler Underwood of Hawaii, Cody (Jessie) Poe of Dover DE, and Casey Poe of Brohard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister. According to his wishes no service will be held. Arrangements by Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV.
