Rev. Keith Belt filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M. E. church.

A big crowd was on hand for the Creston Christmas party. A three-year-old boy gave the blessing for the meal and then the folks made serious attacks on the food that was weighting down the tables. Ellen Hedges's homemade noodles were all consumed but there were all sorts of other goodies including ham, turkey, pickled beets, green beans, baked beans, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, desserts, etc. Afterwards Santa & Mrs. Claus, with the assistance of some elves, handed out gifts & treat bags to all the children in attendance.

Ted Grim & Debbie McCracken came in from Erie Pennsylvania and reported that they had 3 feet of snow there. Mr. & Mrs. Tommy Gay Wright brought Nancy (Aunt Belle) Wright to the event and she got to visit with many folks that she hadn't seen for years including some of her relatives.

Teresa Starcher was able to come and brought along two beautiful little girls who had a great time as well.

One of the elves received a bouquet of roses after the gifts were handed out.

The "global warming" folks held a big conference at the 5 star Moon Palace Hotel in Cancun Mexico to promote "climate change" global legislation and new taxes for the United States. Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the U. N. Climate Change bunch opened the meeting with a prayer to the Maya moon & fertility goddess Ixchel. Perhaps Miss Christiana was hoping to "get lucky". Earlier one of the main folks in the "global warming" business noted that the main thrust was not protecting the environment but the "redistribution of wealth" from those who work to those who won't. While the conference was in full swing at the swanky resort the Cancun temperature set 3 all time low records. Of course there have been frosts in Florida and England had the coldest weather since the late 1600s at the start of the Little Ice Age.

As a result of the unraveling of the global warming hoax, the high priest, Albert Gore Jr. had to cut his "global warming" business back from being based in 25 states to only 7.

Mr. & Mrs. Carl Ferrell & Charles Russell attended the Miletree Christmas party & visited with Euell. Also calling on Euell was W. Harrison Schenerlein IV.

Some of the local folks attended W. Harrison Schenerlein IV's school Christmas program that was held in the Smoot Theater in Parkersburg. The thrust of the program was the birthday of the Saviour. Harrison also took in the ballet The Nutcracker.

Gay Park was among those who took a tour of the lights at Oglebay Park in Wheeling. She also visited the St. Clairsville Mall and Cabelas. She reported having a great time & was glad that she took the trip.

The price of local Penn grade crude fell to $82.75.
