Kenneth A. "Kenny" Paxton, 73 - Walton

Kenneth A. "Kenny" Paxton, 73, of Walton, West Virginia, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

He was born June 7, 1937 at Kettle, Roane County, a son of the late Amos and Nettie Dobbins Paxton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Kermit, Otmer, Glennis "Jim", Elbert, Lyle and Delbert Paxton; two sisters, Hazel Marks and Georgia Hardman.

Kenny was a member of the Laborer's Union Local 1353, Charleston and an Army veteran. He enjoyed spending time camping and fishing.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth A. Paxton, II of Walton; one daughter, Crystal Lowe of also of Walton; one brother, Charles Paxton of Gandeeville WV; one sister, Lillian "Nina" Moore of Walton; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Paxton, Kenneth A. Paxton, III, Eric Lowe, Michael Lowe and Amanda Lowe; one step grandchild, Rocky Boone.

Friends may visit Friday, December 10 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Lyle Paxton Cemetery, Paxton Ridge, Walton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lyle Paxton Cemetery Fund, c/o Poca Valley Bank, P.O. Box 56, Walton, WV 25286.
