SPEEDING TICKETS ON WV TURNPIKE DOUBLING

The number of speeding tickets issued on the WV Turnpike has more than doubled. The WV State Police say it is all about public safety, cracking down on the 88-mile stretch of highway. The 25 officers who patrol the Turnpike issued 604 speeding tickets in October, a 122-percent increase from the number issued in October 2009.
