Blaine King visited on Monday morning and brought a CD that his cousin Harold King and his bluegrass band performed at a coffee shop in Cleveland, Ohio. Excellent music!

Heather, Ben, Ruby and Lea will be spending a few days with me over the holidays. I love it when they visit. the girls are happy little fellows.

Ed VanDeuren from St. Albans called from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He's the 3rd and his dad is Jr. There is a light snow on the ground there and the high will be seven degrees on Thanksgiving day. He lives on the east side of the Missouri River, and he feels like he's home when he crosses over to the west of the river. Thank you for your call and hope that you get this way one day.

It's a sunny 70 degrees here today and is beautiful.

Thank you Orma Lou for your sweet postcard from Clarksburg, WV. She enjoys reading about about Ruby and Lea.

Glen Siers' son Bill, and his friend Laurie arrived for the holidays Monday afternoon. Amie, Glen's granddaughter her husband Ian Tate, Nick and his friend Matt are going to be in Tuesday. Tyler and Logan are here on Friday.

Glen went shopping in Spencer and is ready for a family affair.

Glen was in Korea with the 5464 field artillery operating a (155 mm) Howitzer that shoots 12 miles. You can see one at the Clay County Court house. God bless him.

Genie Baileys' 14 year old hound, Moe, treed a coon near their house. Todd Bailey, her husband shot it out of the tree and it was eaten. Poor old thing is really not so poor and keeping up with the younger dogs.

Months ago I got a call from Linda Parsons, whom I went to Minnora Grade School with back in the 50's. It was good to hear from her. She has lived off the coast of Washington state, Whidley Island, Oak Harbor Washington for 28 years.

It must be beautiful there. Forgive me Linda for being so very late with this. E-mail or call me soon. hope you and all are well.

November 21st was the Full Beaver Moon. This is the time to set beaver traps before the swamps freeze, to ensure a supply of warm furs. Also called the frost moon. One of these days all this information might come in handy believe or not.
