MOTHER SHOOTS SON - Sheriff's deputies in Boone County say Jeffrey Michaels was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot by his mother. Authorities said Michaels had serious mental problems, indicating his mother shot him in her defense and for the safety of her family. MAN SHOOTS WIFE'S LOVER - A Mingo County man is in jail after allegedly shooting his wife's lover to death in Logan County. State Police arrested Jonathan Lee Ferrell, 47, of Gilbert. State Police say Ferrell allegedly shot and killed Wyatt Robinson, 42, of Mallory. Robinson had allegedly been having an affair with Ferrell's wife. Ferrell was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder. BANK ROBBERY IN MON COUNTY - An armed robbery suspect is on the run after he held up a bank in Monongalia County Tuesday. State Police say a masked, white, man robbed the Huntington Bank at Cheat Lake. The man allegedly used a handgun to threaten the tellers. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
