ORMA MAN HEADED TO PRISON ON ARSON CHARGES

An Orma, Calhoun County man has been sentenced to prison for his role in the arson of a Roane County house located on Clover Ridge. Ryan Dale Lambert, 32 (left) plead guilty to conspiracy to commit arson that destroyed a house belonging to Harold and Wilma Fellenstein in 2007. Circuit Judge Thomas Evans III sentenced Lambert to 1-5 years, after he underwent a mental status evaluation, according to Spencer Newspapers. Lambert set fire to the house, according to court records, so the Fellensteins could collect insurance. The Fellensteins had been indicted on arson charges, but they were dropped because of a number of problems with the case, including the loss of a box of photos being misplaced in the Jackson County prosecutors office.
