Welcome back to Beason. I apologize for being so behind on my articles. Again, I would like to thank all my fans for hanging in there with me.

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. We had a great time and I'm certain Avery got enough candy to feed the free world. Ethan didn't go trick or treating this year. He felt he was too old and most importantly, too cool.

We were sad to see Coach Holden turn in his resignation. But, one has to make the decisions that are best for them. We wish him great success in his future endeavors.

I hope everyone got out and voted. Always remember it could've been your vote that made the difference. I am so glad some of the results were what I had wanted. I felt some of the candidates were not "up to par" for serving Ritchie County appropriately.

I must tell you about Ms. Taylor Schriver. She is a ninth grade student at RCHS. She was diagnosed with CF at a very young age and has been suffering from chronic pancreatitis off and on throughout her life. The family has acquired lots of medial expenses and could use your help. Donations will be accepted at Huntington Banks in Harrisville. All donations will be greatly appreciated.

I took my son and his friend, Nic Tate, to the asylum in Weston for Halloween. We took the hospital tour as well as the haunted house. The hospital tour was interesting, but, not enough to blow my mind. The haunted house was quite enough to blow my mind. I look forward to doing it again next year.

I had the pleasure of hitting a deer a few weeks ago. It was the biggest deer I have ever seen in my entire life. I was concerned that it was going to go through the windshield and gouge my eyes out. I couldn't believe the antlers on that thing. Anyway, it did $8,000 damage to my car. I have a rental car right now that I absolutely hate to return to the company. It is a 2011 Jeep Liberty and I love it. It has everything on it that you could possibly want. I wish we could trade and just call it square. Doubt that's going to happen.

The CCES students will be kicking off their Little Caesar's Pizza fundraiser. It's a great fundraiser and well worth your money. Everyone has days they don't feel like cooking. So, these kits are great for putting them in the freezer and using them on those days. Please get with me about ordering some pizza.

I would like to take a moment and thank the Veterans for all they have done and for all they continue to do for our country. We all should be eternally grateful for keeping us all safe and free. So many countries are not so fortunate. I found a great quote that describes our veterans: "Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die." ~ G.K. Chesterson. I hope everyone takes the time to remember our vets now and every day.

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and hopefully getting to spend time with my family. We are often so busy with our own lives that we don't get together as much as we used to. We are also spread out over two states, so that makes it kind of difficult to plan anything. I always enjoy the interesting dinner table conversation which often includes, "what are you doing with your life now Kathy?" Just kidding. But, we all know the "table talk" can be wild at times.

Have a wonderful week.
