Docie Ellen Hardman, 81 - Grantsville

Docie Ellen Hardman, 81, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away November 8, 2010 at Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville following a long illness. Born in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late French and Cora Frederick and was a member of the Beech Valley United Methodist Church at Big Springs. Surviving are her daughter, Carol Sue Nicholson of Arnoldsburg WV; one sister, Gladys Duskey of Glenville WV; two grandchildren, Ray (Dolly) Hickman and Nancy (Shyrick) Schoolcraft. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Hardman; one son, Nathan Hardman; two sisters, Goldie Knight and Odell Wilson. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, November 12 at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in the Big Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
