WEST FORK MAN REPORTEDLY SHOT EARLY THURSDAY

Calhoun 911 received a call at 1:45 a.m. Thursday from a man in the Orma/Rt. 16 area who said he had been accidentally shot in the mouth, requesting that an ambulance be dispatched to meet a vehicle in which he would either be a driver or passenger.

The victim was placed in an ambulance at Speedy Mart in Arnoldsburg and taken to Roane General Hospital, the nature his injury or his condition unknown.

Later reports indicated the shooting incident might not be accidental, and State Police responded to investigate, going to Roane General Hospital.
