Calhoun defeated Gilmer 19-25, 25-14, 25-13, 19-25, 15-12. Amber Wilford 16 points, 7 aces and Rochelle Gerwig 16 points, 3 aces led the team in service points; followed by Ashley Houchin 10 points, 1 ace; Jordan Mace 6 points, 1 ace; Karissa Reip 6 points, and Stephanie Hall 2 points. Setting: Houchin 152/153, 45 assists. Hitting: Wilford 61/64, 25 kills; Gerwig 29/32, 9 kills; Reip 20/23, 6 kills; Mace 15/18, 3 kills; Samantha Church 11/15, 2 kills. Blocks: Wilford 7, Houchin 2, Mace 2, Reip 2, Gerwig 1, Hall 1. Digs: Houchin 12, Mace 7, Reip 7, Wilford 7, Kenzie Laughlin 6, Michelle Hall 4, and Gerwig 3. Calhoun advances to the Regional tournament at Doddridge County High School on Saturday, November 6. Calhoun will play at 10:00 a.m.
