Glenville, WV - Two students from Gilmer County and five from Braxton County are currently completing student teaching internships for Glenville State College.

Kari Nichole Hamric is completing her student teaching in English (5-Adult) with teacher Lesley White and Math (5-Adult) with teacher Theresa Johnston at Lewis County High School. Dr. Gayle Burkowski, Joseph Wood, and Tara Cosco are Hamric's GSC supervisors. She is the daughter of Gail Westbrook of Tanner and Tom and Shelia Hamric of Sand Fork. She resides in Sand Fork with her children Caitlyn, Christopher, and Arista.

Cecil Leon Ramsey III is doing his student teaching in Physical Education (PreK-Adult) at Normantown Elementary School and Troy Elementary School with teacher Diana Sharps and at Gilmer County High School with cooperating teachers Bucky Stewart, Joe Brannon, and Forrest Powell. Janet Bailey is Ramsey's GSC supervisor. He is the son of Cecil Leon Ramsey II of Glenville and Kelly Marrow of Oklahoma.

Tiffany R. Balis is completing her student teaching in Early Education (PreK-K) and Elementary Education at Flatwoods Elementary School with cooperating teachers Michelle Wilson and Minnie Coffman. Connie Stout and Barbara Adams are Balis' GSC supervisors. She is the daughter of Roland and Sue Davis of Exchange and Mike and Sandy Hughes of Point Pleasant. She and her husband Brian reside in Little Birch with their daughters Kaitlyn and Kelsie.

Luella J. Dancy is completing her student teaching in Elementary Education at Flatwoods Elementary with teacher Donna Warner and in Math (5-9) and Health (5-Adult) at Braxton County High School with teacher Pam White. Barbara Adams and Joseph Wood are Dancy's GSC supervisors. She is the daughter of the late Donald Nichols and Emogene Slaughter of Flatwoods. She and her husband James reside in Birch River with their five sons: Robert, Bryan, Jeremy, Josh, and Jeff.

Teresa Jayne Jackson is doing her student teaching in Early Education (PreK-K) at Burnsville Elementary School with teacher Joyce Hamrick and in Social Studies (5-9) at Braxton County Middle School with teacher Laura Jarvis. Dr. Michael Gherke, Connie Stout, and Barbara Adams are Jackson's GSC supervisors. She is the daughter of Margaret Hoffman of Elkview. She and her husband Jim reside in Gassaway with their son Tyler.

Stephanie Jarrell-Sumner is completing her student teaching in Music Education at Arnoldsburg Elementary School and Pleasant Hill Elementary School with teacher John Bugby and at Gilmer County High School with teacher Randall Cook. Dr. David Lewis, Don Sheets, and Shelly Ratliff are Sumner's GSC supervisors. She is the daughter of Dennis and Starla Jarrell of Gassaway. She and her husband Matthew reside in Gassaway.

Kayla Boggs-White is completing her student teaching in English (5-Adult) at Belington Middle school with teacher Janet David and at Phillip Barbour High School with teacher Heather Halfin. Dr. Gayle Burkowski and Dr. John Taylor are Boggs' GSC supervisors. She is the daughter of Kevin and Patti Lunceford of Flatwoods and Doug Boggs of Jasper, Indiana. She and her husband Adam reside in Elkins.

Successful completion of student teaching internships will qualify these students for December 2010 graduation. They will be eligible to participate in the 137th Glenville State College Commencement Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2011.
