Jean Lafleur, 69, of Cross Lanes, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of Virginia Bailey Starcher of Minnora and the late Clayton Starcher.
She was a 1959 graduate of Calhoun County High School and retired from W.Va. Division of Natural Resources with 16 years of service. After retiring, she was involved with St. Albans Senior Citizens.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two sons, Michael Lafleur of St. Albans and David Lafleur of Cross Lanes; one brother, Marvin Starcher of Mt. Zion; and one granddaughter, Kristin Lafleur of St. Albans.
Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Francis of Assisi, St. Albans, with Father Patrick McDonough officiating. Burial was in Minnora Cemetery.
