AUTHORITIES CATCH SHOOTER AFTER HUNT - James "Jimmy" Sigmon, Junior, of Elkview, has been charged with shooting David Sharp, of Frame.

According to the criminal complaint, the two got into an argument Tuesday, over a possible affair Sigmon was having with Sharp's wife.

Witnesses told police that Sigmon drove to the area near Sharp's home. Sharp, according to the complaint, asked Sigmon to step out of the truck he was sitting in.

Sigmon pointed a pistol at Sharp, who was hit once in the back after he started running away.

Sigmon, 38, had fled the scene before Kanawha deputies arrived.

After a lengthy search in Kanawha and Roane Counties, SWAT members from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department found Sigmon getting into a vehicle near Kroger's in Elkview.

He was taken into custody without incident.

He is charged with Attempted Murder and Malicious Wounding.
