CALHOUN RESIDENTS STUDENT TEACHING FOR GSC

Glenville, WV - Three students from Calhoun County are currently completing student teaching internships for Glenville State College.

Jacob Daniel McCumbers is completing his student teaching in Early Education (PreK-K) and Elementary Education at Pleasant Hill Elementary School with cooperating teachers Kristie Ritchie and Patty Haught. Shelly Ratliff is McCumbers' GSC supervisor. He is the son of Dennis and Sandy McCumbers of Grantsville.

Deborah Leigh White-Toppings is doing her student teaching in Early Education (PreK-K) and Elementary Education at Arnoldsburg Elementary School with teacher Renita Benson and at Glenville Elementary School with teacher Nancy McVaney. Shelly Ratliff is Toppings' GSC supervisor. She is the daughter of Bernice and Jim White of Chloe. She and her husband Bobby reside in Chloe with their daughter Gina.

Britini Lee Whited is completing her student teaching in Early Education (PreK-K) and Elementary Education at Glenville Elementary School with cooperating teachers Kim Freeland and Julie Perrin. Don Sheets and Connie Stout are Whited's GSC supervisors. She is the daughter of Jack and Delores Whited of Grantsville.

Successful completion of student teaching internships will qualify these students for December 2010 graduation. They will be eligible to participate in the 137th Glenville State College Commencement Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2011.
