POLLS OPEN AT 6:30 AM - 416 Early Voted

(11/02/2010)
Calhoun voters will go to the polls today to decide on the US Senate race between Gov. Joe Manchin (Democrat) and Morgantown businessman John Raese (Republican), and the congressional district seat pitting Shelly Moore Capito (Republican) and Virginia Graf (Democrat) a former school teacher.

While a few other seats are in contention, including whether or not county voters will renew a library levy, the late Robert C. Byrd's seat has drawn huge attention.

The Calhoun County Clerk's office reported Monday that 416 voters had early voted. In West Virginia, about 108,000 had early voted.

Polls will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.

Polling places remain at usual locations.
