MILLER PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDERING CALHOUN COUNTY COUPLE

A Salem WV man has pleaded guilty to murdering a Calhoun couple on Easter weekend in 2009. Kirk Miller, 33, entered the plea Monday on two first-degree murder counts before Judge David Nibert in a pre-trial hearing conducted in Mason County. Miller shot and killed Mike and Julie Flanagan in their rural Sycamore Creek house, State Police saying Miller said the killings were over a drug deal gone bad. Miller will be sentenced on each charge, charges that will run consecutively. He will serve no less than 30 years before he is eligible for parole. Details to follow...
