GOV. MANCHIN'S CAR DAMAGED AT WALNUT FESTIVAL - Reports Indicate Record-Breaking Crowd

(10/16/2010)
Gov. Joe Manchin's Lincoln Towne Car was damaged today at the WV Black Walnut Festival in Spencer.

A chartered bus backed into Manchin's car, causing minimal damage, said his spokesman Melvin Smith.

No one was inside the vehicle when the bus hit it.

Manchin was making an appearance at the festival, which appeared to have a record-breaking crowd.

"There was a lot of traffic there," Smith said. Some car owners said it took almost two hours to "get out of town."

"It's nothing that can't be fixed," Smith concluded.
