WARRANT ISSUED FOR VANCE IN CALHOUN BANK ROBBERY - "We Have Not Ruled Out Other Individuals"

State Police have issued a warrant for a 21-year-old man for robbing the Calhoun Bank at Arnoldsburg on September 12.

Sgt. O. S. Starsick said authorities are searching for Richard 'Ricky' Vance, 21, who had been residing in the Orma area, sources indicate the man was originally from Lincoln County.

Authorities say Vance has a criminal record. "He has been floating in and out of the county," Sgt. Starsick said, indicating he is known to the residents of the Arnoldsburg-Chloe area.

A photo and description of Vance is not yet available.

The criminal complaint is charging Vance with 1st degree armed robbery and the theft of an ATV from a Walnut area residence. The ATV is yet to be recovered.

Sgt. Starsick said, "We have not ruled out other individuals that could have been part of the robbery."

Vance allegedly went to the Calhoun Bank at Arnoldsburg on an ATV and held-up the establishment with a knife.

Authorities have yet to release the amount of money taken.

"State Police have been following numerous tips and leads regarding suspects for several weeks," said Sgt. Starsick.

"If anyone knows Vance's whereabouts, please call us at 304-354-6334," Starsick concluded.

It was the second robbery at the Arnoldsburg branch bank in less than two years, the robberies being the first such incidents in Calhoun County in over 100 years.
