NICHOLAS COUNTY MURDER - A Nicholas County man has been charged with murder, accused of stabbing a man to death over a $150 debt.

Rodney J. Keffer, 36, of Richwood, reportedly got into a fight with Danny Joe Proctor, 37, of Holcomb, Monday afternoon in Holcomb, according to the Nicholas County Sheriff.

During the struggle, Keffer allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed Proctor, who died of his injuries.

Proctor was stabbed in the left forearm, elbow, abdomen and chest, according to the criminal complaint.

MORGANTOWN POLICE ARREST SUSPECT IN STABBING - Morgantown Police have arrested another suspect in a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death over the weekend.

Isaiah Alford, 21, was arrested Monday in Martinsburg and charged with second degree murder and is now in the North Central Regional Jail.

Justin Lee Fagan, Jr. of Keyser has also been charged with second degree murder in the case.

Police believe these two men did not kill Terrance Sands, 22, of Pittsburgh, but they allegedly took part in the altercation leading up to the stabbing.

Police are saying a third man is believed to be the person responsible for the stabbing.

Sands was stabbed multiple times, and died at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
