ABBOTT RECALLING SOME BRANDS OF SIMILAC BABY FORMULA

Abbott Laboratories is initiating a proactive, voluntary recall of certain brands of powder infant formulas. Inspectors say some brands contain insect parts. According to the Similac website, the recall of the powder infant formula includes: •Certain Similac powder product lines offered in plastic containers •Certain Similac powder product lines offered in a 8-ounce, 12.4 ounce and 12.9 ounce cans Consumers can go to   similac.com/recall/lookup   or call Abbott's consumer hotline at 800-986-8850 to see if their product is affected by the recall.
