An Arnoldsburg man remains in critical condition in Charleston General Hospital, according to a hospital spokesperson. Danny McKown, 52, was injured when he was thrown from his 4-wheeler on Euclid-Nicut Road.

Deputy Sheriff Ron Bandy said McKown was riding four-wheelers with his son, and had been hunting for mushrooms.

McKown reportedly suffered head and other injuries, and was taken by Calhoun EMS to Roane General Hospital, after which he was air-lifted to Charleston.

The accident happened about two miles off Route 16 near Orma.
