SPECIAL MEETING WILL REVIEW CALHOUN EMS FINANCIAL PROBLEMS

(09/21/2010)
A special meeting of the Calhoun Commission has been set for 6 p.m. Thursday in the Little Courtroom in Grantsville to review financial problems being experienced by Calhoun County Emergency Ambulance Services.

EMS managers and the EMS Board of Directors have been asked to attend the public meeting.

Issues of concern are based on the agencies recent audit, which indicates a nearly $40,000 deficit in an audit ending June 30, 2010.

Agency director Josh Johnson says the ambulance service has been borrowing money to meet payroll.
