STATE POLICE FOLLOWING TIPS ABOUT BANK ROBBER

(09/17/2010)
State Police appear to have received several tips or leads regarding the identity of the person that robbed Calhoun Banks branch at Arnoldsburg Monday.

The suspect is still at large, with local residents indicating the State Police have been given what they described as "some pretty good tips."

State Police are spending long hours in southern Calhoun looking for the man.

The bank robber, using a hunting knife directed toward bank employees, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and likely fled on his ATV up a rural road in Arnoldsburg, reportedly going into the Beech area of the county.

Sgt. O. S. Starsick told out-of-county media they got a call from Donald White of Walnut Road, who discovered his blue 1993 Honda was missing.

The ATV is believed to have been used for the hold-up.

Starsick told Spencer Newspapers the ATV has not been recovered.
