CALHOUN'S LESLIE GARRETT IS GOLDEN DELICIOUS FESTIVAL QUEEN

Leslie Dawn Garrett was crowned the 2010 Clay County Golden Delicious Festival Queen during competition held August 14 at Clay County High School. Leslie will reign over the Golden Delicious Festival held September 16th through the 19th in Clay. The Golden Delicious festival was created in 1973 to promote Clay County's contribution to history - the Golden Delicious Apple. In January she will compete for the title of Miss West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals held in Charleston, WV. Leslie is the 18 year old daughter of Stanley and Pamela Garrett of Mt. Zion, Calhoun County. She is a 2010 Graduate of Calhoun County High School and is a sophomore at the University of Charleston, where she majors in nursing.
