The Calhoun County Committee on Aging had its Annual Garden Show this week. Nancy Bremar (pictured above) from the WVU Extension Service judged the 2010 show Submitted by Maricia Mlynek Best of Show - Jim and Evelyn McCormick - sunflowers. Jams and Jellies - 1st place Brenda Sisson; 2nd Brenda Sisson; 3rd JoAnn Shock. Fresh Vegetables - 1st place Violet and Wilford Williams; 2nd Jim and Evelyn McCormick; 3rd Violet and Wilford Williams. Canned Fruits - 1st place Pam Richards; 2nd JoAnn Shock; 3rd JoAnn Shock. Canned Vegetables - 1st place JoAnn Shock; 2nd JoAnn Shock; 3rd Jim and Evelyn McCormick. Canned Meats - 1st place JoAnn Shock; 2nd Alta Mae Richards; 3rd Hobart Richards.
