'ENERGY STAR' APPLIANCES EXEMPT FROM TAXES DURING WV EVENT

Starting Sept. 1 Mountain State residents can buy "Energy Star" rated appliances valued at $5,000 or less and not pay state sales and use taxes. The program encourages customers to purchase more appliances than they normally would without the incentive, or to make a needed purchase now. Certain 'Energy Star' rated appliances are eligible.
