Robert Young "Bob" Mowry, 54 - Kenna

Robert Young "Bob" Mowry, 54, of Kenna, West Virginia, died Monday, August 30, 2010, in the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after an extended illness.

He was born August 4, 1956, in Takoma Park, MD, the son of the late George Young and Elsie Virginia Hardy Mowry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half brother, James Engle.

Bob was a retired wood craftsman and commercial truck driver. He was a Boy Scout and a member of the NRA. Also, he was a member of the Ravenswood Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Jean King Mowry of Kenna; two sons, Christopher Jason Mowry of Mooresville, NC and Robert Jeremy Mowry of Buffalo; two daughters, Charity Ann Landis of Ripley and Mary Elizabeth Parlin of Parkersburg; and ten grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ravenswood Church of God with Pastor Roger Cummings officiating. Burial will be in the Kiser Cemetery, Kentuck. Friends may Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
