CALHOUN STUDENTS TO BE KNIGHTED - Weaver And Gerwig Win Golden Horseshoes

Two Calhoun eighth graders have won West Virginia Golden Horseshoes and will be recognized May 15 at a special ceremony at the Cultural Center in Charleston. Caitlin Weaver, daughter of David and Sandy Weaver of Grantsville and Tommy Gerwig, son of Tommy and Jamie Gerwig of Grantsville, will be inducted into the Golden Horseshoe Society, which represents knowledge of West Virginia History. The winners were chosen from a field of 2,700 entrants.
