KANAWHA MAN TURNS SELF IN AFTER MURDER - A man who killed a woman near St. Albans Sunday has turned himself in to Kanawha County sheriff's deputies after a 24-hour manhunt.

Police say an acquaintance of Clayton "Gino" Rogers, 51, of St. Albans, drove his truck into the woods and returned with Rogers.

Rogers was wanted for the killing of Laura Amos, 35, on Sunday afternoon.

Deputies found Amos's body in a vacant house just outside the St. Albans city limits.

MCDOWELL MEN FACING MURDER CHARGES - Two men face murder charges in McDowell County for the death of a man outside a county bar Sunday.

Cody Woolridge, 22, of Anawalt, was found dead in the parking lot of Joe's Bar in Anawalt, according to police.

Police said another man, Kevin Fleming, 21, of Anawalt, was cut in the face when he tried to break up a fight involving Woolridge and two other men.

Kristopher A. Mitchem, 18, of Pageton, and James L. Mitchem, 45, are charged with first-degree murder, felony conspiracy, malicious wounding, three counts of assault during the commission of a felony and three counts of brandishing a deadly weapon, according to State Police.

PARKERSBURG ROBBERY - The search is on for a Parkersburg man wanted for armed robbery.

Parkersburg Police Sergeant Greg Nangle says Josh Heiney and Craig Clark went to a 27th Street home and robbed a woman.

He says the men held her at gunpoint and demanded cash.

Sergeant Nangle says the victim knew the two men.

Clark has been arrested and charged with armed robbery, but police have not found Heiney, age 18.
