RITCHIE MAN WILL GO TO COURT OVER DUI INJURY OF STATE TROOPER

(08/14/2010)
A man accused of critically injuring West Virginia state trooper Corporal Andy Pringle in Ritchie County last April was in court Friday.

Jessie Parsons, 63, said he's not guilty of driving under the influence and sending Corporal Andy Pringle to the ICU for many weeks.

Parsons' trial will begin on Sept 13.

Parsons is accused of crashing into Pringle along State Rt. 47 in the Macfarlan-Ciso area, causing multiple critical injuries to the trooper.

The community is continuing its support of Corporal Pringle and his family, including a number of fundraisers.

Family members have said that Pringle is very slowly improving, undergoing rehab.
