Building destroyed by flames

An outbuilding twenty feet from an Annamoriah residence was fully engulfed when the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department arrived early Saturday morning.

Firemen close to the scene arrived before the trucks and assisted Jason Taylor in wetting the residence with garden hoses.

Heat from the fire scorched and buckled the siding on the Patty Davis one-story ranch residence, which is located along Route 5 near the old Rader's Inn.

Heat causes damage to Davis residence

Firemen responded to the 1 a.m. fire with twelve firemen and three units. The extremely hot fire was knocked down quickly.

Firemen quickly extinguish flames

Jason Taylor said the occupants were still awake in the living room when the blaze erupted. He could give no reason what might have started the fire.
