Emergency personnel extract injured man from briar patch

A Richardson man received serious injuries Tuesday afternoon when his four-wheeler plunged off the Altizer-Richardson Road, went down a steep hillside and lodged in a briar thicket.

David Booher, in his 40s, reportedly received a fractured femur and possible other injuries.

Calhoun EMS personnel and volunteers used a chain saw to cut through the briar thicket to extract Booher.

He was life-flighted from Arnoldsburg Community Park to a trauma center.

The Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
