WOMAN SHOT AND KILLED IN VEHICLE - A Nicholas County woman, Misty Lynn Acreee, 34, is dead and two others injured after police say her ex-husband shot Acree while she was in a vehicle.

Michael Joseph O'Dell, 35, of McKees Creek Road in Summersville, was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his ex-wife late Sunday night.

Authorties said O'Dell fired a pistol into a vehicle that Acree was driving following an altercation. She died instantly.

Police say passenger Kenny Lester, 44, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was struck in the arm and Jedediah McCutcheon, 29, who was sitting in the backseat, was struck in the leg. Both treated and released. O'Dell was charged with murder.

MAN ARRESTED IN CHARLESTON STABBING - Charleston Police have named a suspect in a stabbing that left a man dead.

They have issued a warrant for Brian Keith Woodson, 50, of Charleston, accused of killing 53-year-old Johnnie Doctor near a homeless shelter.

Doctor's death is the ninth murder within city limits this year and the fourth since the beginning of June.
