A motorcyclist was dead at the scene Sunday near the Wirt-Wood County line on State Rt. 47.

Officials said a witness to the accident says the motorcyclist was driving aggressively.

He reportedly drove off the road and hit a guardrail, then was thrown from his bike.

The Sheriff's department says the victim was not wearing a DOT approved helmet.

Jeffrey Dryja, 54, 1655 Limestone Run Road, Weston, was traveling on a 2009 Harley Davidson.

A cyclist crashed in Calhoun Saturday on the east side of Sand Ridge, US 33-119.

The rider suffered at least one fractured leg and was taken to a Charleston hospital.
