ROANE MAN CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AFTER ALTIZER RD. INCIDENT

State Police have charged a Newton, Roane County, man with domestic battery on a woman described by police as his cohabiting partner. Jason Knight, 32, of Uler Road, has been charged following an incident on Altizer Road, Arnoldsburg, on June 24. The criminal complaint issued by Deputy J. D. Smith, says Knight "intentionally and unlawfully did strike, push and slam to the ground [name withheld] ..." The complaint says the incident was observed by two eye witnesses. An additional charge of destruction of property was filed against Knight after being told to leave an Altizer residence, indicating he destroyed a door to the dwelling.
