WOMAN SHOT IN BACK - Huntington Police say Rebecca A. Noble, 45, of Huntington, was shot in the back at a local convenience store, Tuesday.

Noble has been listed in serious condition.

A witness indicated the suspect was a black man with medium complexion, about 6-foot-1, with a skinny build and in his early 20s. He was wearing an orange shirt and gray khaki shorts.

Police are unclear about a motive.

Police confirmed that Noble had a prior record.

According to The Herald-Dispatch, she was arrested in June 2008 and charged with misdemeanor counts of soliciting prostitution and possession of drug contraband.

MAN FIRES SHOTS INTO APARTMENT - St. Albans Police are looking for a man who shot up an apartment.

It happened on 8th Street around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The couple who lives in the apartment say they heard what sounded like fireworks, but then their window broke.

The shooter fired at least five rounds, but nobody got hurt.

A witness told police a man with a gun got into a white car and drove away.
