She was born June 4, 1925, in Grantsville, WV, a daughter of the late Mellie Franklin and Inda Richards Parsons.

She was a homemaker and attended the Faith Chapel Church in Coolville, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Nutter; four daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Jean and Steve Roark, Sherlin and Delbert Smith, Sheila and Dennis Sams all of Hockingport, Maxine and Bob Headley; one daughter, Patty Haning of Hockingport; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Brice Roberts of Hockingport; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ressie, Leo and Lynn Parsons; and three sisters, Irene Roberts, Alma Boggs and Lorraine Parsons.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at White-Moquin Funeral Home in Coolville with Rev. Wilbert Lowe officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery in Hockingport. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
