Donald L. Miller 78 - Mineral Wells

Donald L. Miller 78, of Mineral Wells West Virginia, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, after an extended illness.

Donald was born October 19, 1931, in Calhoun County the son of the Late Lexie and Dollie (Hughes) Miller.

He was a graduate of Calhoun County High School, served in the United State Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. He retired from Union Insulators-Viscose after years of service.

He enjoyed bluegrass gospel music, was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to catch bull frogs.

He is survived by a daughter, Deborah McPherson (Roger) of Waverly WV; granddaughter, Stephanie of Davisville WV; two great grandchildren; brother, Arnold John Miller (Wanda) of Mt Zion WV; 3 sisters Wanda L. Miller Of Mt Zion, Mary L. Riggs of Little Hocking OH, and Janet L. Thomas of Elizabeth WV; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Riggs.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 13 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV. Rev. Delmas Stutler will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of the service.

Military Graveside services will be held at Bryner Chapel Cemetery at Joker, Calhoun County.
