Phillip W. Calebaugh, Sr., 92 of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away July 2, 2010 at Eagle Pointe Nursing of Parkersburg, WV.

He was born July 9, 1917, in Cherry, Wirt County, WV the son of the late Madison and Lena (Allen) Calebaugh. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's. He drove truck for Huffman Trucking hauling gasoline for over 42 years, and worked at Ravens Metal as a night watchman.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering with motors, boating and water skiing when younger.

He is survived by his 3 daughters, Barbara (Danny) Nicholson of Pennsboro WV, Phyllis (Mike) Rosko of Scotch Plains NJ and Pamela Cottrell Of Elizabeth; 1 son, Phillip Wayne Calebaugh Jr. of Elizabeth; 1 sister, Lucille Bernotwicz of New Carrolton MD; 12 grandchildren: Leroy Jones Jr., Mike Jones, Deanna Deem, Donnie Jones, Dave Jones, Debbie Easton, Michelle Johns, Sheryl Schreck, Andrea Rosko, Robin Cottrell, Becki Cottrell, and Sawna Calebaugh; 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elouise Goff Calebaugh; 1 daughter, Deanna Sue Jones; 2 brothers, Turner and John Calebaugh; 9 sisters, Nancy Thorne, Virginia Stoer, Kate Mills, Rebecca Calebaugh, Louellen Ward, Georgia Gibbs, Billie Sweet, Dorothy Gibbs and Margarette Justice; 3 sons-in-law, John W. Cottrell Jr., Howard Leroy Jones Sr. and Raymond Easton; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday July 6 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth. Interment will be at Beulah Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday July 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of the service.
