WOOD COUNTY YOUTH DIES IN HEAD-ON COLLISION - Dirt Bike And Truck Collide In Ritchie County

A Wood County man has died after a dirt bike he was riding collided head-on with a truck. The accident occurred in Ritchie County late Sunday.

Nineteen year old Jason Lee Sims of Waverly was reportedly not wearing a helmet and died at the scene of the accident.

State police reported Sims had attempted to pass two vehicles on Volcano Road near Petroleum, when he met a truck driven by 32 year old Roger Pepper of McFarlan in a curve. Mr. Pepper was not injured in the collision.
