Welcome back to Beason. We are overrun with deer and apparently kittens as of last night. I don't know where they came from, but, there are at least 3 kittens amongst the tall grass on the side of the road. I didn't see them until late last night. I, of course, wanted to save them all from their doom. I got out of the car to see if I could catch one, but, no luck. So, I guess I will keep my eyes peeled to see if I can get a glimpse of them again.

We are still all very concerned about the Gulf Oil Spill. I hate to hear of all those people suffering from job loss as well as the wildlife smothering to their death. I know there are a few sites on the web where you can make donations and learn about the spill itself. One really good site is www.horizonrelief.org please think about visiting the site.

Kathy & Company took in some of the Relay for Life in Calhoun County on Saturday night. I was really overwhelmed by all the people who came and showed their support and volunteered with booths and such. I applaud them for their efforts for celebrating the lives of survivors and those who were not. The band Side FX was there providing some excellent entertainment for the evening. Well done guys!

We officially ended our time in T-Ball on Monday evening. The kids got to attend a swimming party at the St. Mary's Pool and receive their trophies and eat pizza. Avery really likes to receive his "stats" as he always is eager to be better. It's almost an obsession with him. He plans to be a star pitcher in Little League. Anyway, big thanks go out to Coach Tom and Coach Randall for all their dedication to T-Ball. We appreciate you efforts.

So far, no big plans for the 4th of July. But, knowing me, that could change at a moment's notice. I'm not a big planner. I can't plan anything because I am never on time for anything. It doesn't matter how much I plan to be on time, it never works out. So, I would like to consider myself "spontaneous" rather than being held responsible for being on time.

Remember we are having a yard sale at the shop on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week. We are going to have a lot of nice things including some XBOX/DS/Playstation 2 games, a leather jacket, Americana décor and a gun rack. There will be many more items to choose from. If you have any questions, please contact me.

I'm looking forward to heading to the beach on July 11th if all goes according to plan. But, remember what I said about the planning thing. It never ever works according to my plan. I will have to see what the funds are like and all other things that could make this vacation a total bust. Hopefully, we will get to go.

There have been a few 7 on 7 events for the Ritchie County High School Football Team. Overall, I believe they have done very well. But, we always knew they would give it their best shot. I am so looking forward to the season.

Happy Anniversary goes out to Joey and Annie Sellers of Pennsboro. We wish you many more happy years together.

Well, if you are out and about this 4th of July, please be responsible. Also, please it is very important to remember the significance of this holiday.

Have a great week.
