CANADIAN EARTHQUAKE FELT IN WV

(06/24/2010)
Shakes, rattles and rolls from a 5.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Canada's Ontario-Quebec border were felt in West Virginia yesterday.

Parkersburg's municipal building felt the tremors.

Wheeling's seven to 10-story buildings reported shaking, with two being briefly evacuated.

It only lasted a few seconds, said officials, who issued a statement there was no problems created for the structures.

The Monongalia County Office of Emergency Management heard reports from around the Morgantown area.
