CHANGES MADE AT GRANTSVILLE STATE POLICE DETACHMENT

(06/25/2010)
Several personnel changes are happening at the Grantsville Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.

At least two new officers have been assigned to the county, Trooper J. E. Kincaid, who reportedly had worked in Braxton County, and Trooper S. E. McCullough, who reportedly had worked in Roane County.

Cpl. Doug Starcher has transfered to Wirt County, with about two years before his retirement.

Starcher was recently under investigation by the State Police following complaints related to his conduct, which led to the resignation of former prosecutor Shelly DeMarino.

Sgt. O. S. Starsick has been the commander of the local detachment, with Trooper Jeff Hunt transferring to duty elsewhere in the state.
