RONNIE RUSH COULD ACCEPT PLEA AGREEMENT - Double Murder Case In Court Since 2003

(06/25/2010)
A murder case set for jury trial in Jackson County against Ronnie Rush on July 6 could be changed if Rush enters into a plea agreement Friday during a hearing in Jackson County.

The hearing starts at 9 a.m. before Judge Thomas Evans III in Ripley.

Rush has been charged with the murders of Ward Groves and Mary Hicks in 2003, with two previous guilty decisions being overturned by the WV Supreme Court linked to misconduct problems by the WV State Police in Grantsville.

The Groves and Hicks families have been advised to be present for Friday's proceedings.

Two special prosecutors have been appointed to prosecute the case, Matt Harvey and Woody Hill. Teresa Monk is Rush's defense attorney.
