Amos Paul O'Dell, 79 - Looneyville

Amos Paul O'Dell, 79, of Looneyville, West Virginia, died Friday, June 18, 2010, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

He was born August 28, 1930, in Clay County, a son of the late Patrick O'Dell and the late Elizabeth Runnion O'Dell Mullins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Patrick "Junior", Leon and William O'Dell; one sister, Helen Carper; one half brother, Huey O'Dell; one half sister, Evelyn Adkins.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a farmer.

Survivors include one brother, Eugene O'Dell of Looneyville; two sisters, Marlene Vineyard of Arnoldsburg and Arlene Cobb of Clay; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. David Young officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
