Geraldine H. Shaw 81 - Parkersburg

Geraldine H. Shaw 81, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away June 16, 2010.

She was born in Akron, Ohio the daughter of the late Earl and Dorcas (Merrill) Henthorn.

She was a graduate of Wirt County High School class of 1946, and attended Glenville State College. She was retired from GE after 17 ½ years service. She was a member of the American Legion of Parkersburg and the Daughters of the American Revolution in Akron, Ohio. She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening, especially her rose gardens. Geraldine enjoyed life to the fullest.

She is survived by her son, Darin Shaw of Parkersburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and good friends, Katie Snyder of Akron, Ohio and Marian Simpson of Temple, Texas.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Marshall Shaw; and one sister, DorthaLee Deisz.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date. Interment will be at K of P Cemetery, Elizabeth, WV.

Matheny Whited Funeral of Elizabeth is in charge of arrangements.
