| Jacob Scott Dunbar, 76 of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday June 15, 2010.
He was born in Wirt County the son of the late James and Catherine Woodyard Dunbar.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was
retired from the Wirt County School Board after 21 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Barbara Hanna Dunbar; six children, Terry Dunbar of Rock Hill SC, Bill (Recca) Dunbar of Ripley WV, Glen (Sherri) Dunbar of Pomroy OH, Dan Dunbar of Mineral Wells WV,
John (Charlotte) Dunbar of Palestine WV, and Virginia (Mike) Harris of McAdenville NC; 6 grandchildren; and 1 brother, Joe (Fern) Dunbar of Leavittsburg OH.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother, James Dunbar Jr.; 2 sisters, Delores Oliver and Virginia Mansfield.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday June 18 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with Rev. Lee Williams officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. William Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday June 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
