The West Virginia State Folk Festival in Glenville is off and running, celebrating 61 years of Appalachian culture and history.

Calhoun's Mary Umstead is representing
the county as a Folk Festival Belle

The festival is full of daily events through Sunday, including jam sessions of the street, arts and crafts, banjo and fiddle contest, antique car show, square dancing, spelling bee, quilt show and the Grand Parade.

It's all free.
